What Should Be Done If The Horizontal Directional Drilling Rig Is Flooded?

1、 Engine water ingress

If the engine in the horizontal directional drilling rig is flooded, there will be sediment deposition, so it is not necessary to disassemble it, but it must be replaced when it is disassembled; Engine treatment, which can adopt:

1. Drain all the oil-water mixture from the oil pan, wash it with clean water until no dirt flows out, and then wash the oil pan with kerosene or light diesel oil. Take more cleaning oil [diesel] until the machine is full to the oil filling port [or until the cleaning oil flows out, because some machine exhaust pipes are in the middle of the engine]. Try to insert compressed air into the lower part of the cleaning oil for boiling washing, so that the sediment deposited on the parts can be mixed with the cleaning oil, Stop according to the situation [check whether the valve rocker arm assembly is cleaned from the oil filler] and discharge;

2. Remove the fuel injector, inject kerosene or light diesel oil into the cylinder, and [make it wash the sediment in the gap of the piston ring] after a part of it seeps in,

Compressed air is also used to flush out the cleaning oil and add lubricating oil with low viscosity to the cleaned oil pan together;

3. After checking the hydraulic oil tank, after manually turning the engine for more than ten rounds, extract the remaining lubricating oil at the top of the piston, reinstall the fuel injector, and clean the fuel circuit;

2、 Hydraulic part

1. After extracting the undeveloped hydraulic oil from the upper part of the hydraulic oil tank, drain the oil-water mixture at the bottom [including the hydraulic pump suction pipeline], clean the hydraulic oil tank and filter screen, and add new hydraulic oil [other parts of the hydraulic system do not need to be cleaned];

2. Use the starter to drive the hydraulic pump to idle until the hydraulic oil discharged by the hydraulic pump has no bubbles.

3、 Reducer part

Similarly, clean the rotary reducer with cleaning oil, and add lubricating oil after it is qualified.

4、 Gear rack, cylinder chain part

The gear rack, oil cylinder chain and its internal lubricating grease shall be drained and cleaned after the machine is working.

5、 Engine intake part

Disassemble the air inlet, wash it with water until it is clean, and replace the air filter element.

6、 Electrical part

The electrical system should be disassembled, cleaned and dried to prevent corrosion; Before starting, try to install only necessary fuses. After starting, gradually install other fuses to prevent undetected short-circuit problems.

7、 Start the drill

Start the machine and work at low idle for a few minutes to check whether the oil and hydraulic oil have degenerated? (generally, the engine oil will degenerate. Since there is water in the lubricating oil passage, it must be replaced immediately if there is any); If there is no abnormality, the commissioning can be carried out.
