Precautions for use of trenchless drilling rig

1. During construction, prevent the large diameter drill pipe from connecting to the small diameter drill pipe (that is, the large and small drill pipes are used together) to prevent the small drill pipe from being broken or deformed due to insufficient strength.
2. Pay attention not to clamp the female part of the female joint when clamping the drill pipe with vise to prevent the female joint from being clamped and deformed.
3. Pay attention to the pre tightening force of makeup shall be controlled within 15Mpa when assembling and connecting drill pipes to prevent the difficulty of breakout due to excessive pressure. Prevent fire baking of joints to reduce the mechanical properties of joints (especially female joints) and affect the service life. Without pre tightening, the threads are connected and swayed, resulting in mutual grinding of the threads and sharpening of the tooth top, and ridge on the side, leading to thread damage or gluing. No pre tightening, and the female buckle step is not compressed, which may lead to fatigue fracture of the root of the male connector thread; Under the action of high pressure liquid flow, the female connector is punctured, which may lead to longitudinal crack of the female connector.
4. Before installing and connecting the drill pipe of the trenchless horizontal directional drilling rig, clean the male and female threads, and apply thread oil (thread oil cannot be replaced by other oil consuming and inferior pressure oil) to prevent premature wear or damage of the male and female threads.
5. The manufacturer of trenchless horizontal directional drilling reminded that the water channel hole should be cleaned before installing and connecting the drill pipe to prevent the mud system from being pressured due to debris blocking the channel.
6. Be careful not to make up forcibly. When making up, the male buckle shall not punch the shoulder and thread of the female buckle, and the male and female joints shall be aligned. Ensure the coaxiality of the shackle of the drill and the main shaft of the power head.
7. Pay attention to the wear condition of each part of the drill pipe, and find out the causes in time in case of abnormal wear:
⑴ Judge whether the drill pipe is scratched by sharp and hard materials in the hole;
⑵ Judge whether the drill pipe is scratched by the drilling rig guiding equipment.
When the scratch mark on the drill pipe body of the trenchless drilling machine is about 1mm deep and is in a spiral state for more than one circle, please use it carefully. Prevent the drill pipe from being broken during construction, resulting in greater loss.
8. Pay attention to the damage of drill collar short connection type (wrong thread, disorderly thread, severe wear, etc.), and replace it in time to damage the drill pipe thread.
9. Pay attention to hoisting, and prevent damage to the pin when handling the drill pipe.
10. Pay attention to prevent mixing drill pipes with different buckle types; Do not mix drill pipes from different manufacturers (because different manufacturers have different technical parameters, processing methods, tools and mechanical equipment for making drill pipes, the tolerance and tightness of the processed drill pipes must be different); Do not mix new and old drill pipes with large difference in wear degree to prevent construction risks.
11. If the drill pipe buckle is found to be damaged in a small area (about 1-2 buckles, 10mm long), it shall be repaired in time before use.
12. The manufacturer of trenchless equipment reminds to pay attention to prevent any part of the drill pipe body from being clamped with vise clamps, so as to prevent the pipe body from being pinched by slips and reduce the service life of the drill pipe.
13. Use qualified zinc base rib grease, and butter is not suitable for use as thread oil. Insufficient rib grease will damage the shoulder part of the joint, which is easy to loosen the thread connection and cause thread damage. If the thread grease is not used or the applied thread grease is unqualified, the thread surface will be bonded and the thread will stick.
